A Day of Miracles

Today started like any other day, except I actually got up early.  I usually get up at like 10-11, but today I got up and seven, and I drove my baby brother to school! (Not by myself, I still have to drive with an adult) I was supposed to be doing that since school started but I haven't been able to because I get up late, because I go to bed late.... I can't sleep...
Anyway, after we got done cleaning up the house a little, me and my mom headed down to Savers just to have a look. They already have Halloween stuff up and I am excited for my costume this year!
I want to be Life from The Book of life, because I just adore her makeup!
But her costume is very elaborate, so maybe I'll just settle for some kind of calavera girl. I just really wanna be something with elaborate make up.
Anyways, afterwards I went we went to Buffalo Wild Wings and orders just a few wings and we wanted to get desert, but they took a really long time with our order, and I was going to be late for class, so we just had to eat and run. I arrived at class 15 minutes late, but the instructor didn't mind, and class was a lot of fun, we mostly worked with shapes in 3Dx max~
While I was waiting for my mother, I decided to go to the bookstore to get a book for my Philosophy class. I'm very frugal so I didn't want to buy it. The new version to buy was for $50, to buy for used was for $40, to rent a new book was for $30, and to rent it used was for $20. Of course I was going to go with the cheapest option, but a problem occured: They didn't have any more used books, and there was only one book left. I told myself to wait to see if anyone would bring in a used book, but I needed to get it before tomorrow, so I figured "Just rent it". Just as I was about to pay for it, the cashier told me that my debit card declined, which was funny because I had just deposited $360 into my bank account the other day ($300 from my YWIC check, and $60 from my own savings). How could possibly not work? I told the cashier that I would be back, and she told me that she would just put the book back.
After my mother picked me up, I told her, and she decided we should go talk to the bank officials. We go straight to Wal*Mart (which is where the 1st National Bank, my bank, is located), and complain to the teller. She starts checking on the computer but nothing comes up. Then I remembered I kept my transaction slip from the deposit and gave it to the teller lady. That's when we started getting results. She started calling everyone to find out what had happened to my money. It was then I overheard her telling her manager that somebody stole my YWIC check! I felt so awful! But the people were so nice that they gave me $360 to make up for it. Me and my mother were so happy, and she made me buy her icecream. We went back to the bookstore to get my book, but by the time we got back, they sold out. I was devastated; I needed that book! I just wanted to go home, but my mother was persistent, she kept asking if they had any books in stock or in the back. One of the store ladies offered to call the other bookstore at the other campus, and something told me everything was fine. I was going get the book used at the other campus. The cashier lady was pessimistic, and said they probably would have the book anywhere but the campus we were at. That's when the other lady told us they have tons of copies of the book at the other campus. I was relieved, and shocked that my feelings were true. The ultimate test was whether or not they would be used.
So me and my mom drove all the way to the DACC campus on University, where sure enough, they had just the book I was looking for, and they had one last used copy left. Just as I had felt. I rented the book and me and mother got in the car. As we drove home, my mother told me something interesting. She said after I went to class, she headed up to the financial aid office to see what could be done to pay off my tuition. We've been having financial problems lately, and none of my scholarships went in, so there was no way we could pay for my tuition this semester. They would rip $800+ from my dad's bank account without any mercy. But, as my mother talk to the financial aid lady, Lisa Minus, she said that my tuition had already been paid in full. My mother was shocked, she wanted to know who paid it. Lisa said something when people drop out of college, the college saves up the money said person earned from scholarships and such, and give it to students who need it. On a list of 91 students in my exact position, they gave me the money. My mother wanted to cry and was in disbelief when she heard that, as was I when my mother told me. It was then she asked me if I remembered the text message I had sent to her cousin the other day. I did. My mother told me to text her cousin to pray for my grandmother because she was going into hard surgery (tomorrow actually), and to pray for me because I needed money for college. It was then I realized it what my mother had said, was an answer to her cousins prayer. Those were the two miracles that happened today.
  • Today as I was waiting for my mother to pick me up from class, outside the office where my Boaz is suppose to work in some day in the future, I began to question my judgement. I thought maybe I'm being to picky. How would I know for sure my stirrings were right? I'd have to form a mutual bond before I met this guy, right? He might even be too old, or married or he could already have a girlfriend. But after today, I feel like all I need to do is be patient, and one day, he'll arrive.
  • "And I know~ He'll appear~!"
